Zoe Schofield spent 25 years in the commercial construction industry before moving in to commercial archaeology. She spent ten years working on The Oplontis Project as an excavator, archivist and specialist in Roman wall decoration. Her study on the wall paintings at the Villa di Oplontis was published in 2019 in Oplontis: Villa A (“of Poppaea”) at Torre Annunziata, Italy.Volume 2. The Decorations: Painting, Stucco, Sculpture, Pavements. In addition she has provided tours and lectures for International Universities and contributed to the Museum Exhibition: Leisure & Luxury in the Age of Nero, the Villas of Oplontis near Pompeii.
